SUMMER 2024

LAST CHANCE TO REGISTER!

Parent Connect events are a new and powerful way to build a supportive community among parents of teenagers. These gatherings will offer parents a chance to share experiences, gain insights, and develop relationships with others navigating similar challenges. By creating a welcoming space for open dialogue, shared resources, and mutual encouragement, Parent Connect events help foster a network of support, promote stronger family connections, and equip parents with practical tools to guide their teens through today’s unique challenges.

Join us on Saturday, September 14th at 5:00 PM for (bring your own) dinner and an open discussion on Inside Out 2! This film dives into the complex emotions and inner lives of children and teens, providing an accessible way for parents to explore and discuss the emotional challenges their own teens might face. After the movie, the open discussion will allow parents to connect over shared experiences, discuss takeaways from the movie, and exchange strategies for supporting their children’s emotional well-being. This event sets the stage for creating a community of parents focused on mutual learning and support.

FALL RETREAT

Join us on our Fall Retreat! The Koinonia Retreat is a time for our youth group to come and connect with each other and other students from around the state, cultivating what Koinonia means... COMMUNITY, being in fellowship with one another and learning and growing together as a community of believers.

Teens will deepen their faith, build community, and enjoy camp favorites like color wars, inflatables, sticker exchanges, small groups, free time, and new surprises. We have four worship services that are focused on our hunger and thirst for community, forging bonds, facing challenges, and building bridges. This is a can’t-miss event!

VOLUNTEER WITH US!

Close to 800,000 children in the U.S. don’t have a bed. These children end up sleeping on floors – sometimes without a mattress. A bed is a basic need for the physical, emotional, and mental well-being of a child. SHP is a national organization answering the call to a national problem. They partner with organizations to build, assemble, and deliver top-notch bunk beds to children and families in need. NO KID SLEEPS ON THE FLOOR IN OUR TOWN!®

Come build beds with us Saturday, September 28 at 9 am at St. Luke's. This activity is for ages 10 and up. Parental presence is required for participants 12 and under.
