Updating Referral Information - CT BHP HUSKY Health Providers

The Connecticut Behavioral Health Partnership (CT BHP) offers a robust Provider Search for all HUSKY Health members looking for treatment services. Providers can assist in ensuring accurate referral information by submitting a Provider Data Verification form (PDV) to CT BHP including essential details of your unique practice or facility. Completing the PDV allows you to list your specific clinical expertise, treatment modalities, capacity, languages spoken, accurate contact information, and more.

Provider Connect Portal Enhancements - Availity Essentials

On January 10, 2024, CT BHP Debuted a portal enhancement to the authorization platform, Provider Connect. Availity Essentials was integrated with Provider Connect to provide a streamlined experience across multiple payer spaces, aiming to reduce the administrative burden on providers.

New CT BHP Feature - Member Feedback Form!

In 2023, CT BHP conducted a website overview highlighting a focus on HUSKY Health member’s experience with navigating the website. Contributors to this review included members of the Consumer and Family Advisory Council (CFAC). Members highlighted a need to be able to offer feedback or suggestions in real-time to the CT BHP. This led to the creation of the Member Feedback Form.

Supporting Connecticut Families - Family Assistance & Social Determinant (FASD) Funds Available

The Connecticut Department of Children and Families (DCF) has announced it will be offering funding for behavioral health treatment, intervention, and medication costs for children, youth, and families in the state. This funding is made available through the American Recovery Plan Act and is aimed at supporting families who are unable to cover these costs through insurance, HUSKY Health benefits, family funding, or community resources.

Create a Recovery Friendly Workplace


In January of 2024, Carelon BH CT was designated as a Recovery Friendly Workplace (RFW) by the State of Connecticut and its governor, Ned Lamont. This designation aligns with CT BHP’s long-standing commitment to addressing the opioid crisis, developing policies to foster a supportive culture of recovery, and reducing the stigma related to mental illness and substance use disorders.

  • Brain Injury Awareness Month – March 2024
  • Brain Injury Awareness Month provides a platform for educating the public about the incidence of brain injury and the needs of people with brain injuries and their families.
  • Alcohol Awareness Month – April 2024
  • Alcohol Awareness Month was established in 1987 to help reduce the stigma so often associated with alcoholism by encouraging communities to reach out to the American public each April with information about alcohol, alcohol use, and recovery.
  • Mental Health Awareness Month – May 2024
  • Every year during the month of May, the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Connecticut joins the NAMI national movement to raise awareness about mental health.
  • NAMI CT Walk – May 18, 2024, 9:00 am – 2:00 pm, Bushnell Park, Hartford, CT
  • Autism Walk  - May 19, 2024, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm, Quinnipiac University North Haven Campus.
  • National Prevention Week – May 12-14
  • This is an annual observance sponsored by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) dedicated to increasing public awareness and action around substance use prevention and promoting positive mental wellbeing.
