As a reminder, Bridgeport ISD is closed on Fridays during the summer. The district office is open for business Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m.- 4 p.m. Additionally, the district will be closed next Thursday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day.

Class of 2024 Spotlight: Valedictorian Emma Miles and Salutatorian Salem Hurtado

Another class of seniors have successfully graduated from Bridgeport High School. On Wednesday, May 29, friends and family gathered at the University of North Texas to honor the Class of 2024 as they walked across the stage and received their diplomas, a culmination of their hard work, dedication and passion for learning. Among this talented group of 145 graduates were Emma Miles and Salem Hurtado, this year’s Valedictorian and Salutatorian.

Summer Feeding Program 

Don’t forget about the "Healthy Summer Meals for Kids" program this summer! Breakfast and lunch is provided for all children ages 0-18 at no charge. Summer Feeding will take place at Bridgeport Elementary School, where we will be serving breakfast from 7:30-8:30 a.m. and lunch from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Meals are available Monday-Friday from now until July 26, but the week of July 4 there will not be meal service. As required by TDA, all meals are to be consumed on-site in the designated dining area. Additional information and monthly menus will be posted online:

BMS New Student Orientation

Save the date for BMS 6th Grade Orientation on Tuesday, July 30 in the BMS auditorium! Orientation will take place from 9:30-10:30 a.m. or 3-4 p.m., whichever works best for your family's schedule. All 6th graders and new students to BMS are welcome to attend and learn more about life at BMS!

Summer Scope Week

Our Summer Scope group wrapped up their week with a visit to The Bureau of Engraving and Printing in Fort Worth! The students were very engaged in the tour and represented Bridgeport ISD very well. The students enjoyed the trip as an awesome wrap-up to a week filled with exploring and acquiring new knowledge!

Pre-K and Kindergarten Roundup

Bridgeport ISD is hosting a Pre-K and Kindergarten Roundup student enrollment event on July 29, from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. at Bridgeport Elementary School.
