Bridgeport ISD families,

July has flown by and we are just a few weeks out from the start of the new school year. We cannot wait to have our students and staff back on campus!

Before school officially starts, we want to make sure all of our families are properly enrolled. We hope you will join us for food and bounce houses at the Enrollment Fair next week! The Enrollment Fair is all day on Tuesday, July 30, from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. at Bridgeport High School. 

Our goal with this enrollment fair is to make it as easy as possible for you to enroll your students for the 2024-25 school year, which is why we will have our campus principals and registrars on site to help you successfully complete your registration and answer any questions you have about the new school year. 

The event is from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. and food will be provided for you and your family! No RSVP is required to attend. Click here to learn more about what you need to bring in order to complete your registration for the school year.

As a reminder, Bridgeport ISD is an open enrollment district, meaning that you do not have to live within the zoned school boundaries to attend our district! We welcome all families from any surrounding areas to enroll their students and become a part of the Bridgeport family. If you know a friend or family member in the area that lives outside the district boundaries but wants their child to attend Bridgeport ISD, please pass this information along to them.

Pre-K and Kindergarten Roundup Next Week! 

Bridgeport ISD is hosting a Pre-K and Kindergarten Roundup student enrollment event on July 29, from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. at Bridgeport Elementary School. Come learn about BISD Pre-K and Kindergarten and register your student for the 2024-25 school year! Students are welcome to attend. Click here to learn more about the event and what to bring.

District Leadership Team Retreat

Our District Leadership team gathered last week for two full days of back-to-school planning! Administrators worked on goals for the year and enjoyed team building activities.

BMS New Student Orientation

Save the date for BMS 6th Grade Orientation on Tuesday, July 30 in the BMS auditorium! Orientation will take place from 9:30-10:30 a.m. or 3-4 p.m., whichever works best for your family's schedule. All 6th graders and new students to BMS (7th and 8th graders) are welcome to attend and learn more about life at BMS!

Maroon Camp at BHS - Wednesday, Aug. 7

Calling all incoming freshmen and new BHS students! Make plans to attend Maroon Camp at Bridgeport High School on Wednesday, Aug. 7, from 1-3 p.m. We will be welcoming new students to BHS, handing out schedules and Chromebooks, and helping students learn more about their student organization and extracurricular options!
