DID YOU KNOW?

Sanborn's Around the World Festival is Coming!

Our annual Around The World Festival is on April 25th at 6:30-8pm in the Sanborn Cafeteria and Gym. The festival will showcase and celebrate Sanborn's rich mosaic of cultures through arts and crafts, performances, shared traditions, stories, and more.

This festival will not be possible without your help! We are looking for Sanborn families to participate in showcasing their heritage at the festival. Your cultural representation can be as simple or elaborate as you'd like!

🌏 COUNTRY BOOTH: Each family/country will have a table where they can set up a booth representing that country. You can have a poster with information, costumes, cultural artifacts, music, slide shows, pictures, etc. You can also team up with other families representing the same country and share a booth together.

🌍 CRAFT: We also invite you to have a small craft for the kids to work on to get to know your country.

🌎 CULTURAL FOOD: Note, this year, we will also be able to bring food. We will share the guidelines for food with all participants. We will also have an allergy-safe table at this event.

🌏 VIDEO: We will be setting up a station for recording a multicultural video featuring our families. You can share a family tradition, celebration, or aspect of your heritage that is dear to you. It could be a holiday tradition, a special family recipe, or anything else that holds significance.

🌍 PERFORMANCES: We are planning to create a schedule for performances on the stage. If you would like to teach a dance, sing a song, or perform anything from your country, you will be able to do that on stage!

All registered participants will receive an email with more information and guidelines. On April 13th, we will host a Zoom meeting to provide an overview of the event and answer any questions.
