While July is a great time to get away with the family for a relaxing vacation and time together, our school needs to begin planning for the new year. I don’t think that I can understate the importance of a Catholic education these days. We need to be able to talk about God in our classrooms. Our next dinner to take to the St. Elizabeth Center in Lorain is Saturday, July 15. If you can supply a pasta with meat, dessert, rolls, or salad, please call Maryann 440-822-7925 by Wednesday, July 12. Thank you!

Senior Luncheon


The next Senior Luncheon will be tomorrow, Monday, July 10. We will begin with lunch at noon. Mike Moore will be performing Patriotic Music. We look forward to a great meal, good fellowship and game of BINGO for those who wish to stay.

Volunteer Drivers

Are you able to help out our home-bound? The WORD Among Us & a Parish packet is delivered once a month by our HOMETEAM Drivers. Volunteer drivers deliver to 5 homes [at most] once a month. If you are interested in becoming one of our HOMETEAM Drivers, please contact Joyce: st.marydisciple@gmail.com or 440-775-1967. Thank you for making our Parish strong and inclusive.

Shrine Trip to Carey and Bellevue

Nativity BVM in Lorain is sponsoring a bus trip to the Shrine of Our Lady of Consolation in Carey & the Sorrowful Mother Shrine in Bellevue, on Thurs., July 27. The cost is $50.00 [includes dinner]. Reservation forms & itinerary can be found on the table outside the Weigand Room and on the Nativity BVM parish website: nativitybvmlorain.org.


Basket Raffle Items Needed for Parish Picnic


Donations for the basket raffle are welcome for the following basket themes: Ladies, Gentlemen, Teachers, Back to School, Movie Night, and Family Game Night. Summer at St. Mary

This coming weekend Lorain County Children's Pioneer Theater will present FROZEN Jr. at Elyria High School Performing Arts Center on July 14 & 15. Tickets are available at the door - $10 adults and $7 seniors/children. Come and see them build a snowman!
