Dear Holy Nativity Ohana,

Mahalo nui loa for a beautiful birthday celebration! It was one that I will always remember. In coming to Hawai'i, I most looked forward to experiencing the deep spirituality of this 'aina. The lei, prayers, food, and hula that you offered were a deep expression of aloha. I am honored to serve among you. Peace,

--Rev. Libby+

Our own Alex Picken (HNC Tech Team) is part of the National Championship winning UH Ballroom Dance Club. The team won highest team average at the National Collegiate DanceSport Championship in Pittsburgh, PA in March of this year.

This was the first year that the Ballroom Dance Club competed at this national competition and they proved to be some pretty tough competitors!

Congratulations Alex & the rest of the Club!

Altar Guild Aloha!

See all the candles burning in our sanctuary? They are not made of wax. They are actually tall tubes topped with Followers, brass fittings, from which hang the wicks.

Altar Guild members screw off each Follower to carefully pour lamp oil into each candle, usually weekly, but more often if there are several services such as during Holy Week. In some parishes, during Lent only the two candles on the altar burn, while in more festive periods all the candles are lit.

Our Altar Guild blesses us with their stealth ministry, every week.
