75th Anniversary Update

by Jean Steele

Have You Noticed the Impact of Our 75th Anniversary Projects?

The Children & Youth Ministry is fully funded, the painting of our campus exterior is finished, the Thrift Store has air conditioning, and electrical repairs have been made on the organ! Wow!

The Nave has a new railing, and and improvements to the Sacristy and Lanai are in place. We have reached our goal for an HNS scholarship and finished the first phase of landscaping. One donor actually specified their gift for a lawnmower!

These are wonderful strides, to be sure -- but we still have a way to go to reach our fund-raising goal, and there are only three months left in the campaign!

We especially need funding for landscaping, and scholarship funds for the summer program at HNS.

Please think about making a gift -- perhaps as a memorial for a loved one or as gift to the parish ministry that most warmly touches your heart?

We are ever closer to meeting our campaign goal; please help us to

get there.

Mahalo and Aloha!

Lent Madness Results!

by Lila Johnson

If you participated with us in the Lent Madness XV tournament and saw the weekly scoreboard brackets displayed at the church entrance, you are aware that out of 32 proposed saints, the 2024 Golden Halo winner is Julian of Norwich

In the final battle, she captured the imagination of the Lent Madness voting public and defeated Albert Schweitzer to take this year’s crown!

Julian of Norwich (c. 1343 – after 1416), was also known as the Lady Julian, Dame Julian or Mother Julian. Her writings, Revelations of Divine Love, are the earliest known surviving English language works by a woman.

Julian of Norwich addressed humanity’s sinful nature not as a condemnation of our badness, but as a reminder that God seeks us when we make a mess of things, loves us unconditionally, and redeems us. (Rev. Laurie Brock)
