Spring Grove, PA— The Bailey Family of Companies is pleased to announce the appointment of Courtney Bailey Piccolo as its new President & CEO, and Kristy Fasano as its new Vice President & COO, effective September of 2023. Over the past few years, Piccolo and Fasano have been working side by side with previous President John W. Bailey as he mentored them for these positions.
In 2020 when Bailey Coach, was faced with a 90% loss in revenue due to the global effects of Covid-19 on the travel industry, Piccolo and Fasano led the charge to diversify their existing business model and orchestrated the launch of two new ventures, Bailey Automotive Services and Bailey’s Zero Hazard in an effort to keep their transportation employees that wanted to work, gainfully employed throughout the course of the pandemic. Then, in January of 2022, Piccolo & Fasano began acquiring ownership of the company, and today the Bailey Family of Companies is proud to be a majority female owned organization with Piccolo and Fasano sharing equal partnership.
With the experience and knowledge gained from starting these new businesses, Piccolo & Fasano (along with Piccolo’s brother Josh Bailey) began working on the development of Bailey’s newest business, Bailey Self Storage, which will consist of 56,000 square feet of self-storage located on Route 116 Spring Grove.
Piccolo brings a wealth of experience to The Bailey Family of Companies with her proven track record of driving growth and innovation. In 2012, after a successful career in sales at The Hershey Company, Piccolo made the decision to join as the 3rd generation of Bailey’s in the family business. She launched the start of her “Bailey” career at the family’s 87-year-old travel agency, Bailey Travel & Travel Time, where she was responsible for growing annual sales by 8.7 million dollars. Upon the sale of Bailey Travel and Travel Time in 2018, she transitioned to the family’s transportation business, Bailey Coach. An alumnus of Bloomsburg University, Piccolo has been a member of the Rotary Club of York and currently holds a position on its Board and is the club’s President-Elect. Volunteering is “in the Bailey Blood” and Piccolo is continually utilizing her resources to support the local community.
As Piccolo steps into the President & CEO role, John Bailey, previous President & CEO, plans to semi-retire after 44 years at the helm. Bailey will now act as the company’s Chairman and looks forward to spending more time with his wife in Florida, playing pickleball, and enjoying his 3 grandchildren.
John Bailey stated “I am delighted to welcome my daughter as our new President & CEO. I have great confidence that her exceptional leadership skills, strategic insights, and deep industry knowledge, paired with her lifelong commitment to the family business, will steer the organization towards even greater achievements in the future.”
Fasano brings a decade and a half of operational and human resources experience to this position. A graduate of Mercersburg Academy, the Pennsylvania State University and Wilson College – she believes that a company is only as strong as its team – and has spent her time at Bailey’s working hard to promote positive company culture, strong relationships, and building on a company legacy where people are proud to work and inherently know that they are valued. At Bailey’s, Fasano directly oversees the Company’s efforts for community service. This has translated to the Bailey Family of Companies being a Top 100 Contributor for The United Way of York County’s Annual Fundraiser and a designated voting location for Jackson Township.
As Piccolo focuses on increasing business and the company’s future, Fasano focuses on ensuring that the company moves forward as a team, all together, while striving to honor the foundation that John Bailey built his company legacy on – treating employees as family, offering unparalleled customer service, and serving the community with pride. Together, Piccolo and Fasano have the vision and tools to lead the Bailey Family of Companies into a new era of success.
