Elizabeth Hope Clancy (Beth) will speak on “Broadway to Mesopotamia: a costume designer’s journey.” Beth has designed costumes for Tony Award-winning plays, Broadway premieres by Edward Albee and Arthur Miller, Shakespeare in the Park, opera, dance and more. A longtime member of All Souls and soprano in the choir, Beth is a granddaughter of the late WA member Betty Clancy. In recent years she has made intensive studies of the ancient textiles and dress of Mesopotamia.

Souls in Service Committee Launch

Sunday, May 19 | 12:15 PM | Forrest Church Gallery

Help launch the Souls in Service Committee! Our vision is to provide a range of service opportunities, commensurate with varying levels of availability, that respond to the diverse needs in our community. We want to hear from members of the congregation about what service projects will be the most meaningful. This includes both existing projects and projects that we will develop.

Please join Souls in Service Sunday, May 19th during coffee hour in Forrest Church Gallery as we start to plan a future of joyful service activities. If you have any questions, please contact Judith Moldover or send an email to board@allsoulsnyc.org.

All Souls Board Meeting

Sunday, May 19th | 1 PM | Forrest Church Gallery

All are welcome and encouraged to attend All Souls board meetings!

Musica Viva NY will be presenting its concert “PERPETUAL LIGHT: Mozart and Golijov," in the sanctuary at All Souls NYC on Sunday May 19 at 5pm. As usual there will be a pre-concert talk at 4pm and this will feature Trent in conversation with Alejandro and David & Susan Rockefeller (both Board members of the Oceana Foundation).

Mozart’s Requiem—a swansong of sorts that has been shrouded in mystery from its inception—has fascinated performers, musicologists, and audiences for almost a quarter of a millennium. The Musica Viva NY choir and orchestra pair Mozart’s masterpiece with an equally imposing work by the brilliant Argentinian composer Osvaldo Golijov, Oceana.

Tickets are $50 ($30 for students/artworkers) available at the door and at the link below.
