We are pleased to announce Listening Circles for the Future Leadership Task Force. The task force was announced on March 5th with the charter to to engage with the Congregation to gather feedback on the current All Souls leadership model (e.g., roles responsibilities and functions of the Board, ministers, and congregants), assess current governing policies and bylaws, explore UUA and other best practices, and eventually make recommendations to the Congregation and the Board. This will be an inclusive process to listen to the Congregation and consider a future leadership model based on the needs and direction of the Congregation. The Listening Circles are scheduled as follows:
Sunday, April 21st, 10am - 11am in Reidy Friendship Hall
Tuesday May 14th 6pm - 7pm via Zoom (details to follow).

(1) Who you want to make health care decisions for you when you can't make them.
(2) The kind of medical treatment you want or don't want.
(3) How comfortable you want to be.
(4) How you want people to treat you.
(5) What you want your loved ones to know.

Adult Education: Sound Studies & Mindfulness

This 4-session course teaches you about the fundamental principles of sound and how it interacts with our environment and bodies. You will also discover how to tune into sound to enhance your mindfulness and develop meditation practices around sonics. Our expert instructor, Jacob Rudin will guide you through various techniques and exercises to help you build your listening skills and deepen your understanding of the power of sound.

If you have lost a partner or spouse and are seeking new friendships, please join lay facilitator Christina Darnowski for our Friendship Circle. We meet monthly on the first Sunday of the month from 12:30 – 1:30 PM in the Forrest Church Gallery at All Souls. We will open our meetings with a short reading or meditation, support each other, cultivate new connections, and spread some joy!

All Souls publishes two email newsletters: The All Souls Weekly, the Friday email which announces upcoming events for the next week; and Today at All Souls, which arrives at 8 am every morning and includes the Zoom information for events that day. We also produce a weekly Buddhism & Mindfulness newsletter and a weekly Education newsletter. | |
