International Convocation of UU Women

All Souls NYC and Musica Viva NY Announce auditions for volunteer singers of all voice parts!

The historic semi-professional chamber choir of All Souls NYC and Musica Viva NY is holding auditions for volunteer choir positions on August 18. Check out Musica Viva's exciting upcoming season here! Experience the rigor and reward of chamber choral singing at the highest level, with no fee to participate.

All voice parts welcome. The ideal auditionee will have strong sight reading skills and choral singing experience. To schedule an audition, please fill out this application form. Auditions will be held on Sunday, August 18, 2024 at All Souls NYC. At your audition, you may sing any song of your choosing that highlights your vocal strengths. You may perform acapella or accompanied by a provided audition pianist. If your piece has accompaniment, please bring sheet music for the pianist. You will also be asked to sight-read a selection from the Unitarian Universalist hymnal.

Graphic Design Assistance Needed!

All Souls is creating several brochures to help newcomers, visitors, non-members and others learn more about our vibrant community. We plan to have them available this fall. Several writers among the AS community are writing copy for these brochures, but we need specific assistance from anyone who can design the brochures and provide layouts for us. If you can help during the next several weeks, please contact Taylor Gallihue, Communications Assistant at AS, at taylor@allsoulsnyc.org

In recognition of Galen’s contributions to All Souls and the impact he made on each of our lives, the Board of Trustees is collecting letters from members and friends who wish to celebrate and thank Galen for his years of service. This book of congratulatory letters will be presented to Galen at one of the worships services in November or December.

If you wish to submit a congratulatory letter to Galen, please submit your letter to Richard Esposito at raespos@icloud.com by November 1. If possible, please send a Word or PDF document versus an email so that we can more easily assemble the letters.

Calling all knitters and crocheters! Beginners and pros! The goal is to make as many handmade scarves and hats as possible that will be handed out at the two meal services this winter. You can knit by yourself – or join us for “group knits” in the Ware Room. We’ll supply instructions AND YARN!! Bring your needles to first meeting and pick out some yarn. All Souls publishes two email newsletters: The All Souls Weekly, the Friday email which announces upcoming events for the next week; and Today at All Souls, which arrives at 8 am every morning and includes the Zoom information for events that day. We also produce a weekly Buddhism & Mindfulness newsletter and a weekly Education newsletter.

If your group would like something added to our public congregation calendar and shared in our Friday email, please submit to our Communications Assistant, Taylor: Taylor@allsoulsnyc.org



Submissions for the Friday email must be received by the previous Sunday at 4 pm (at least 5 days before the email it is intended for).

Printable Calendar: Submissions or changes in regularly scheduled programming must be submitted by the 15th of the month prior (i.e. March 15th for the April calendar).
