Message from the Dean

As we enjoy the vibrant summer season here at New Mexico State University, I am filled with great pride and optimism for the future of our college. Our faculty, staff, and students continue to demonstrate excellence in innovation, research, and community engagement. This July, we celebrate the remarkable achievements of our recent graduates and the groundbreaking projects our research teams are heading. From sustainable energy solutions to cutting-edge technological advancements, the work being done within our college is inspiring. I am particularly excited about the upcoming initiatives aimed at enhancing our curriculum and expanding our outreach programs. These efforts are designed to ensure our students are well-prepared to tackle the challenges of tomorrow and to contribute positively to our society. New robotics club empowers students

As a high school student, Maria Adeliz Ordoñez was a member of a VEX Robotics championship team, but she couldn’t find a college-level team at NMSU. So in the fall semester of 2022, she put the pieces together to fill the gap.

$2.5 million grant by National

Science Foundation

This funding, designated from June 2024 to May 2029 will bolster the ongoing efforts to enhance STEM education for underrepresented minority students across the state of New Mexico.

San Juan College and NMSU launch chemical engineering partnership

The College of Engineering and San Juan College, in Farmington, NM, have launched a partnership to offer an Associate of Science degree in chemical engineering that can lead to a bachelor’s degree. Read more here!

Career Fair in September open to NMSU Community

The event will take place on September 17-18, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Corbett Center Student Union, 3rd Floor, with all majors welcome on Sept. 17 and a STEM-focused day featuring about 120 employers on Sept. 18.



Homecoming set for Nov. 8-9

The New Mexico State University Foundation will sponsor the annual NMSU Homecoming weekend, including the Homecoming football game taking place at 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9 at Aggie Memorial Stadium. Details Here!
