We invite you to our conference room on Tuesday, November 8th from 8 AM - 9 AM. Second Tuesday Coffee has been a great opportunity for Oceanside Chamber members to connect with other businesses in North County. Attendees will have a chance to give a 1-minute introduction and will have access to a participant list to stay connected after the event. Be sure to bring your business cards! Kevin owns and operates some of Oceanside’s favorite restaurants including the Switchboard, North County Roastery and KNVS. After serving in the Marine Corps for 13 years, Shin retired and was hired by the Culver City Fire Service, where he currently serves as the Fire Captain. However, he never lost his passion for the food and service industry. During the interview you’ll hear why Kevin chose Oceanside and what make’s his restaurant unique. Most importantly, however, Kevin is a strong community advocate and leader. You’ll hear details on what’s up and coming from the entrepreneur and how he plans to help drive business downtown.

Community Meeting on New Police HQ

(Source - City of Oceanside) - Another Measure X-funded project has kicked off. Join us for the first community meeting on a proposed new police headquarters project. This in-person meeting will take place on Wednesday, March 15 at 6:00 p.m. at the El Corazon Event Center, located at 3306 Senior Center Drive. The purpose of the meeting is to answer your questions and gather your input. Staff and the project architect will be present to provide an overview of the proposed facility. More information

New El Corazon Park Planning

(Source - City of Oceanside) - The El Corazon Specific Plan includes nine park sites at the City property in the heart of Oceanside. Park Site 1 will be the first park area to be developed, and public input is being collected on concepts and design options. A recommended option will be brought to the Parks and Recreation Commission, and then to the City Council for review and approval. We'd love your input! Please take a brief survey on the two concepts and provide your thoughts by March 12. 

California Competes Tax Credit

Application Window:

March 6, 2023 – March 20, 2023

The California Competes Tax Credit (CCTC) is an income tax credit available to businesses that want to locate in California or stay and grow in California. Businesses of any industry, size, or location compete for over $180 million available in tax credits by applying in one of the three application periods each year. Applicants will be analyzed based on twelve different factors of evaluation, including number of full-time jobs being created, amount of investment, and strategic importance to the state or region.
