Assistance Programs for Installing Solar

(Source: SDG&E) - California’s new Solar Billing Plan helps promote grid reliability during the early evening when the sun is down and energy use is high. The plan also helps incentivize the installation of solar and battery storage and control electricity costs for all Californians. The state is working to increase access to solar by offering assistance and rebate programs. The programs are administered through a third-party and can help qualifying customers reduce the cost of installing solar as well as battery storage.

  • DAC-SASH (Disadvantaged Communities Single-Family Solar Homes): If you currently receive or qualify for a CARE or FERA discount, or live in a disadvantaged community, you may qualify for assistance with solar.
  • SGIP (Self-Generation Incentive Program): If your home or business is in a high fire-threat area or other qualifying community, you may be eligible for an energy storage system at a very low cost.
