Oceanside Leadership Academy Fall 2023 Now Accepting Applications!
From September 9th to November 2nd 2023, the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce will conduct weekly Leadership Academy sessions. In our opening session participants will hear from some of our top local leaders regarding their leadership styles and philosophies, how they have led through times of crisis, and what it takes to lead in their respective sectors.
Subsequent sessions will feature deeper dives into leadership from experts in various sectors including military, municipal government, tourism/hospitality, entrepreneurship, health care, non-profits and Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM).

North County Health and Wellness Fair Next Thursday!
On August 10, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., the Oceanside Chamber will hold its Annual North County Health & Wellness Fair. This event provides an opportunity for local health & wellness related businesses to promote their products and services and provide demonstrations for community members.
The North County Health Fair is FREE to the public and a great way to receive information, meet a new health specialist, or learn more about healthy living. Located at the beautiful Oceanside Civic Center Plaza, the North County Health Fair will run concurrently with the popular Downtown Farmer's Market. The organization provides service dogs to adults, children and veterans with disabilities and facility dogs to professionals working in healthcare, criminal justice and educational settings. Since their founding in 1975, our dogs and all follow-up services are provided at no cost to our clients.

Oceanside Shelter Preparing to Open
(Source: City of Oceanside) - To alleviate homelessness and to mitigate community impacts, the City is nearing the opening of the Oceanside Navigation Center. This modernized facility is committed to providing a safe, low-barrier to entry program focused on moving people to permanent housing. Clients are referred to stay by the City's Housing Department Social Workers, Homeless Outreach Team, and the San Diego Rescue Mission.

California Small Business Leadership Academy - High-Performance Supplier Series
Cox has partnered with the Council for Supplier Diversity and in collaboration with the University of San Diego’s School of Business to offer a virtual series of workshops designed specifically for minority, woman, veteran, LGBT, and/or disability – owned businesses. Each virtual workshop is facilitated by a University of San Diego faculty member who excels in teaching, is an active consultant, and pursues the latest research. In these highly interactive workshops, your business will learn from leading thinkers in business leadership, organizational strategy, and other key areas of business management. Participants will have extensive opportunity to apply the learning to their companies and to receive feedback from like-minded industry leaders.
The tuition for the program is covered by Cox, so there is no cost to you to attend. The virtual series starts on Thursday, August 17. Submit your name/business by Friday, August 4 for consideration!
