Go Create It, a 501c3 charity, is proud to present the newly revised 21-Day Empathy Challenge (EC). The program takes students (ages 8-16) on a journey of self-discovery, while at the same time building empathy among peers. The positive anti-bullying program creates a peer-supported environment, which naturally reduces incidences of bullying.
THE PROBLEM
Virtually every school in America has an anti-bullying policy. It's been this way for years. However some are beginning to question the effectiveness of traditional programs. Recent studies indicate:
70% of students grades 6-12 have seen bullying in their school
49% of students grades 4-12 report being bullied within the past month
55% of LGBTQ students experience cyberbullying
30% of students admit to bullying others
The traditional methods of combatting this problem are not working.
A DIFFERENT SOLUTION
The 21-Day Empathy Challenge is much more than an anti-bullying program. Students are the best version of themselves when they are empathetic towards those around them. The EC is a positive combination of leadership, empathy training and structured peer-to-peer engagement.
The word "bully" is not even mentioned in the program. Of course there is a time to address disruptive and anti-social behavior with individuals but collectively it's better to reinforce and teach by emphasizing the good.
Students quickly realize that their future success is inextricably linked with those around them.
