June 10, 2024

A heartfelt thank you to all the Wheaton Chamber members who sponsored and/or volunteered at the Cream of Wheaton May 30 through June 2. Mike Tenerelli of Exit Real Estate Partners, our Volunteer of Volunteers, was a rock star. We had an amazing weekend in spite of the rain. Thanks to the Wheaton Park District for partnering with us on this event. Special shout-out to Margie Wilhelmi and Dan Novak (pictured here), Carolyn Wilken, Sammi Catanzaro and Kim Prazak along with fearless WPD leader Mike Benard for working with us to make this event a success. Thanks, too, to Cheryl Shurtz from RE/MAX Realty for her video promoting Cream of Wheaton! See our Photo Gallery at the end of this e-newsletter for highlights.

Just as we’re catching our breath from Cream of Wheaton, we turn to this weekend’s 38th Annual Scottish Festival & Highland Games, hosted by new Chamber member The Chicago Scots for the first time at DuPage County Fairgrounds this Friday and Saturday. Click here to learn more about this event, designed to provide a taste of Scottish culture, tradition, skill and athleticism.

You may already know that my husband Bill and I are heading west to Tucson in the coming weeks to be close to our kids and our grandson. While it is bittersweet to say goodbye to you all and to Wheaton, we’re excited about returning to the desert where our love story began. The board is working on filling the president role. I’ll be here at the Chamber through June 21 and hope to see you at our Progressive Luncheon “Under the Tents” at Ivy on June 20.

To the next round of leaders~
