CRCKY raised $48,838 directly through the GoodGiving challenge this week. This doesn't even include matching grants, which have yet to be calculated. We are so grateful!
Supporters like you allow us to keep working with immigrants. As a donor, we wanted to let you know where your money has been going. Since Giving Tuesday we have:
- Referred five clients to Immigration Lawyers
- Had advocates accompany clients to three immigration appointments with lawyers, and paid for these appointments
- Delivered free food to 39 people
- Raised funds to help our first Afghan client buy a used car so she can safely go to and from work
- Set a February start date for the start of our first Passport Program workshop, where U.S. children of immigrants can obtain free passports in case they are ever separated from their parent(s)
- Referred four clients to get an orientation of how to ride the bus with a LexTran employee
- Distributed $32 in bus passes
- Paid for two household's rent and are about to pay for another two
- Made numerous referrals to other agencies
