BOSCO

Bosco, who was abandoned outside, was found by a fellow rescuer. We had to remove his diseased eye, which relieved his severe pain, and we happily learned it was not a spreading cancer. He is a gentle soul recovering at The Animal Haven where he loves all the attention he gets from the staff and volunteers. His veterinary costs have totaled $3,284.

SIENNA

Sienna was brought to us by Hamden Animal Control in great pain after someone abandoned her. Her infected mouth was one of the worst cases the vets had ever seen! After emergency dental surgery, she can eat comfortably again and is visibly so much happier. Sienna's veterinary costs have reached $2,176.

The Animal Haven pays for all the health needs of the animals in our care. Last year, our largest expense was veterinary costs and medical supplies ($341,000) for the 193 animals at the shelter - an average of $1,766 per animal. Some needed nothing more than an inexpensive antibiotic. Some needed spaying and other overdue healthcare. Still others needed livesaving help costing thousands of dollars.

Your donation can help pay for a $30 painkiller, a $52 kennel cough vaccine, a $95 ear infection treatment, a $256 pathogen test, or a $1,500 dental surgery. It is your gift that enables us to provide the medical care that these animals need.

We couldn't be more thankful for your support. Together, we can continue saving lives.
