Kayla Lloyd, Senior Marketing Manager at BBG&G Integrated Marketing will discuss how in 2023 Tenement Museum partnered with BBG&G to successfully market and promote the museum’s reopening. BBG&G developed and executed a digital advertising campaign that focused on bringing awareness to the reopening, highlighting available tours, exhibits, and programs, and promoting the museum's 35th anniversary.   • Governor Hochul recently released the approved $237 Billion FY 2025 Enacted State Budget. Most notably, as Mark Dorr announced upon during his NY Legislative Update at the 2024 NYS Tourism Conference, $1 million was restored to the Matching Grants Program for a total of $3.45 million.
  • Key Issue Talking Points: NYSHTA's 2024 Tourism Advocacy Day one-pager. The comprehensive document highlights their main budget and legislative priorities for 2024 on short-term rentals, the COVID sick leave law, ADA website legislation, and more.

Governor Hochul Celebrates New York State Parks and Historic Sites Centennial

Governor Kathy Hochul on Thursday celebrated the centennial of the State Council of Parks establishment on April 18, 1924. Landmarks across the state will be illuminated in Parks green and centennial gold and a special centennial flag will be raised at parks and historic sites across the state to commemorate the day. “Our State Parks and Historic Sites system is a treasure for New Yorkers and visitors alike, and today we celebrate 100 years of memories,” Governor Hochul said. “The system we have today started with visionary leadership, and it has grown over the decades to encompass more than 250 properties covering 360,000 acres of land. As Governor, I will continue this legacy as we honor the history of our parks today and throughout the year.”

The Sullivan Catskills Visitors Association, in partnership with Bethel Woods Center for Arts, presents a food festival celebrating the cuisine of the Catskills and beyond. The weekend event (May 10-12) will showcase the beauty, resurgence, and popularity of the Sullivan Catskills and its distinct regional cuisine. Catskill Cuisine takes inspiration from local fare, farmers, and restaurants, featuring chefs and producers participating in tastings and demonstrations.
