Happy New Year from Food as Medicine Global! As 2022 comes to an end, we give gratitude and deep appreciation to farmworkers, fishers, ranchers, land and water stewards, grocers, and all involved in bringing food to our tables. We give gratitude and deep appreciation to health practitioners, healers, and all involved in providing care and support for our wellbeing. We acknowledge the toil of these challenging times for all and especially for those working in food production and in health care. The impact of climate change and COVID continues to stress our food and health care systems. We thank you all deeply for your service.

We give thanks to all of our board members, advisors, student ambassadors, new community members, and generous funders. We are immensely grateful for the support we have received and for all we have been able to accomplish since launching on July 18th.

In less than six months, we were able to:

  • Receive 501(c)(3) nonprofit designation
  • Build an interactive website
  • Create an Online Member Community Site
  • Publish a Resource Directory
  • Grow a robust social media network
  • Secure a grant award
  • Establish a dedicated Board and Circle of Advisors
  • Earn a Candid Silver Seal of Transparency
  • Plan a conference featuring exceptional presenters working in the intersections of food, health, community, social justice, and planetary wellbeing.

In 2023, we humbly aim to contribute for positive impact through deep listening, continued outreach, and collaborative engagement.

Thank you again for your contributions! Your support and participation make all the difference. We wish everyone good health and happiness in the new year!

We give thanks to the many organizations and community initiatives working in food and health equity areas! May all of our collaborative efforts bring us closer to food sovereignty and health justice for all!
