Dear CRC Supporter,
There are two words we say frequently. I think we offer them sincerely and receive them gladly … but I just want to take a moment to sit with them and absorb them like a sponge does water. What are these words?
Thank you.
On the surface, they articulate the feeling of gratitude. But if we dig a little deeper into the feeling, we discover a rich tapestry of emotions and significance. I think about times when who I am and my needs as a person were visible to someone, and they responded to seeing my need with kindness. I think about times when I’ve received words of thanks, and those simple words became the strongest encouragement to be that kind of person.
So as you sit around the table this Thanksgiving, as you share moments and make memories with your loved ones, I hope you take time to look each other in the eyes, and pause in the moment to both share and receive these words of gratitude.
Happy Thanksgiving!
