I wanted to thank all of the supporters, contributors and friends from the bottom of my heart for your friendship and support in my campaign for state Senate. Although we are all disappointed by the results, we gave it our all, and can be proud of the positive, inspirational campaign we ran, and the very broad and diverse coalition we put together
even while I was being pummeled with an extremely negative campaign that sought to tarnish my reputation.
I hope you won't be discouraged by this setback, and that you will continue to be involved in community affairs and political campaigns in the future. We owe it to ourselves and our system of representative government to not give up, but to keep pushing for good people to run and be elected to public office, and to make sure our ideals and values are reflected in our public officials.
I would like to extend special thanks to my amazing campaign staff and volunteers. All of whom worked tirelessly over the course of the campaign to support me and the campaign. I am ever-so-grateful for their generosity of lending their time and enthusiasm during the campaign.
