Another busy month with many international business events in Texas! NBSO Texas hosted the second Energy & Transition Dutch network meeting and demonstrations of Flood protection solutions. Additionally, we attended the CERA Week Innovation Agora in Houston and the South-by-South-West Festival in Austin. Spring is coming with lots of business opportunities, and we are eager to share them with you!

Dutch innovation at SXSW
A cross-sector and interconnecting conference and festival in the heart of Texas, where birds of all feathers can find their own and new networks: in Sports, Energy Transition, Water & Resilience, and Tech, Arts & Culture, to name a few.
The topic of the second Energy & Transition networking lunch featured the future of Hydrogen in Texas with excellent introductions by Dutch company OCI and the Vice Consul of the Netherlands in Miami.
Dutch company Boxbarrier and Hydra International presented a variety of temporary flood protection solutions from the Netherlands, USA, and Canada, and the benefits they can bring to Houston and the Texas region. The event was organized by NBSO Texas in collaboration with the SSPEED Center at Rice University, IDRT, and TU Delft.
Challenges and opportunities for hydrogen in the transformation of the energy industry were at the forefront of discussions at the Innovation Agora in Houston.
The conference is celebrating its 27th year as the largest Regional Water Conference in the U.S. and caters to professionals in the wastewater and water industry.
The Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) is where energy professionals meet to exchange ideas and opinions to advance scientific and technical knowledge for offshore resources and environmental matters.
The Dutch company ORTEC in Houston has been awarded as the Best and Brightest Company to work for 2023 by the National Association for Business Resources Best and Brightest Companies to Work For®, marking the 3rd consecutive year for this award.
Texas named the best state to start a business in 2023
A report from B2B Reviews found the best states to start a business in 2023 and it seems the Lone Star State is the top spot where business is booming.
