What's Cooking!
October 2022
October is National Vegetarian Awareness Month so this is an ideal time for our “What’s Cooking” recipes and information to explore vegetarianism.
The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics states that a properly planned vegetarian diet is “healthful, nutritionally adequate, and provides health benefits in the prevention and treatment of certain diseases.” The reason for this is that vegetarian diets offer lower levels of saturated fats, cholesterol and have higher levels of fiber, along with important antioxidants like vitamins C, E and phytochemicals that come from fruit and vegetables.
Visit our Facebook page each week in October to enjoy the “What’s Cooking” recipes.
