Rose, White & Blue July 4th Parade | |

Come join Rabbi Magat, Cantor Shafritz, and other members of your Temple Emanu-El Family as we march in the Rose, White & Blue Parade, around the Rose Garden Neighborhood. This is a great opportunity to show your Temple Emanu-El pride, while celebrating Independence Day with everyone. We'll be saying hi to all of our friends along the route. All ages are welcome to participate.

Join Rabbi Magat and Midpen Docent Naturalists Nancy Weintraub and Nick Yatsko for a special Shabbat in Nature in the Redwoods. On this moderately-paced 4.5 mile hike in the shade of redwoods, madrones, bay laurels, and firs, you'll hike along the Tafoni Loop to the Tafoni sandstone formation.

Save the date for Tikkun Leil Shavuot. On the night of the festival of Shavuot (the first night of Shavuot in the diaspora), it is traditional for Jews to stay up and learn Torah – a centuries-old custom known as Tikkun Leil Shavuot. We invite you to spend this evening with us as we hold a Torah study and discuss different passages, and how they apply to our daily lives.

TEE Historical Preservation Society Mitzvah Day | |

This newly formed group will be responsible for documenting, preserving, and presenting the Temple’s history and archives both past and future. Projects include interviewing senior Temple members, reviewing and organizing our archives, and presenting them in an easily accessible digitized format both on our website and a kiosk monitor in the Temple House foyer. Following the completion of the initial projects, the group will continue to update our archives and expand upon what has been done.

JFS Silicon Valley Equipped to Learn Back-to-School Drive | |

Temple Emanu-El is partnering with JFS Silicon Valley to help 385 students of all ages have a successful start to the new school year. Your donation of a backpack, school supplies or gift cards to purchase school clothing and shoes will help students start the year off right. Many of these students are attending school in the U.S. for the very first time and need your support! Your donations make a world of a difference!
