A HUGE Thank You to the anonymous Temple Member who consigned some of their surplus household, clothing and other items to the Sisterhood account at the Exchange. We received a commission check from the Exchange for almost $500!

What treasures do you have hanging around your house that you don’t use anymore?

Please consider consigning your gently loved but surplus items to the Sisterhood account at the Exchange Consignment Shop in Sarasota. The Exchange accepts donations of clothing, household items, art and furniture. Your discards can benefit Sisterhood and the arts community of Sarasota and Manatee counties. When your donations are sold, the Exchange will pay 60% of the sales price to Sisterhood.

The Sisterhood Account number is #47645. The Exchange is located at 539 S. Orange Avenue. For more information on how the consignment program works at The Exchange, go to their website, https://www.sarasotawex.com/consign-us.

PEOPLE OF THE BOOK

with Tom Dugan

Thursday, February 29

2:00 pm

Temple Beth Sholom

1050 S Tuttle Ave Bldg. 2,

Sarasota, FL

Simon Wiesenthal was a Jewish Holocaust survivor who became internationally famous for relentlessly pursuing and bringing nearly 1,100 Nazi war criminals to justice. Tom Dugan captures the essence of this extraordinary man in the context of Holocaust history as well as the legacy he left behind. The book is based on Dugan’s one-man play and includes the entire off-Broadway production playscript of this riveting drama and a complete study guide, production photographs and book club questions.

Dugan will read several pieces from the script during his presentation as he did earlier this year when he spoke about the book on Zoom. The feedback from everyone was that they would love to see him present this in person, and now residents will get a Dugan doubleheader with Tevye in New York! (one-man show presented the night before) and Wiesenthal.

Dugan was dubbed “A National Treasure” by critics for the past 20 years. His one-man plays have thrilled audiences and have been the subject of many PBS programs throughout North America.
