Letter from the Principal
Dear Golden Bear Family,
I must first and foremost thank you for continuing to uplift the name of Temecula Valley High School in a positive manner. I have received numerous words of support and affirmation about the great students of Temecula Valley High school. I believe that our students have the ability to outshine these unfortunate situations and prove that we are a family that bands together to outshine and stand against anything that goes against our family's IMPACT values. Please continue to encourage your son/daughter to speak up when they hear or see anything that may pose a threat to anyone.
The California State Testing has already begun at TVHS. Our students are aiming to raise our API score by 40. Many of them have expressed to me that they want to see me at the next rally dressed as a funkadelic. I believe that they can achieve this goal. Please encourage your son/daughter to take this test seriously. These tests are not just about the school, but they give us an indication of your son/daughter's performance which allows us to determine whether he/she will need content area support in the coming year. If he/she fails to truly take this test seriously their performance can place them in classes in which they would not need otherwise. Again, please talk to your son/daughter about the need to be focused in class at all times. Please join our students in the challenge to go for 40, together we can achieve anything.
Go Bears,
Dr. Lawrence

GOLDEN BEAR ATHLETICS
By Steve Rapaport, Athletic Director

The Southwestern league is known as one of the most competitive and talented leagues in California, so winning a league championship in any sport is quite an honor. As the year comes to an end, Temecula Valley High School would like to congratulate our Southwestern League championship teams, coaches and athletes:
Girl's Soccer coached by Amber Young, Boy's Tennis coached by Rob Skinner and Wrestling coached by Arnold Alpert and Lyndon Campbell. In addition, wrestling was the CIF Division 1 Dual Meet Runner-Ups.
Thank you to the community, parents, friends, students and staff of Temecula Valley High School for your support and positive cheering this year. It is because of you that TVHS was once again recognized as a "Victory with Honor" school.
Don't forget to visit our website for summer camp information and all your athletic questions at tvhs.tvusd.k12.ca.us (just click on "athletics" on the top right).

Inspiring Quote For The Month
"Search for the seed of good in every adversity. Master that principle and you will own a precious shield that will guard you well through all the darkest valleys you must traverse. Stars may be seen from the bottom of a deep well, when they cannot be discerned from the mountaintop. So will you learn things in adversity that you would never have discovered without trouble. There is always a seed of good. Find it and prosper."
