Teen Book Review
Breathing Room
by Marsha Hayles
I did not like this book. The main character is this girl who has tuberculosis and she has to go away from her family to a sanitarium. It took her a year and a half to come back from there and most of the book takes place at the hospital.

It is very sad because most of her friends die from this disease and her best friend, who she meets in the middle of the book, has to stay at the hospital even when the main character is leaving. And she was thinking about staying with her but then ended up just leaving. She did leave a note and they said goodbye and did all these nice things before she went but it was still disappointing that she left. I thought she should've stayed to be with her.

Find this book in the Library's catalog.
