New York, N.Y. (September 11, 2013) - Ted Bolser of Indiana was named John Mackey Tight End of the Week. The Big Ten Conference senior recorded five receptions for 56 yards and tied a career-high with two touchdowns as Indiana fell to Navy 41-35. This is the third time in Bolser's college career that he scored two touchdowns and his second of the game against Navy this past week pulled the Hooisers within 6 points with just 4:03 remaining in the game. Other candidates considered for this week's Mackey Tight End of the Week include Tyreese Russell of Eastern Michigan and Troy Niklas of Notre Dame.
The 2013 John Mackey recipient will be presented live on December 12, 2013 at The Home Depot College Football Awards Red Carpet Show: 6:00 p.m. ET on ESPNU.
