Interested in Teaching for OLLI?

Have you thought about teaching a course for OLLI at SOU, but were a bit nervous about the process?

The Introduction to Teaching at OLLI at SOU course will help you think through your ideas. You'll get advice from veteran instructors and meet with a mentor to help fill out a course proposal (fall term proposals are accepted May 1-31). Courses can be in-person or online. Lecture, discussion, or activity.

Introduction to Teaching at OLLI is open to non-members and is offered in a hybrid format so that participants can attend in-person at the Campbell Center or via Zoom. Class starts this week on Thursday, April 18.

We can help you find a short-term task or longer-term position that fits your background, skills, and interests.

The annual OLLI Council director elections will be held in late May. In the coming weeks, members will have the opportunity to learn about the candidates, their background and experience for the job.

A candidate forum is scheduled for Wednesday, May 15, 4:00–5:00 p.m. to provide an opportunity to meet the candidates and ask questions prior to the election.

The fall term for OLLI at SOU starts Monday, September 16. If you've been wanting to share a passion of yours with the OLLI members, course proposals for fall are submitted throughout the month of May. Here is a link to the sample course proposal form.
