Coming Soon: Centennial’s Strategic Planning Engagement Tour is coming this fall.
Following a successful College-wide Strategic Planning Engagement Survey which garnered more than 1,500 responses, we are pleased to share the insights with you in the August 29 issue of CCthisweek. The survey gathered perspectives on Centennial's top priorities, strategies to enhance our mission of preparing students for career success, along with our institutional values. These insights have shaped the themes for our 2025-2030 Strategic Plan.
We now invite the College community to join us during the upcoming Strategic Planning Engagement Tour (SPET) to share your perspectives on the identified themes and provide insights on potential strategic goals that align with them. Your input is crucial as we refine our vision for the future. We are at a pivotal moment in the higher education sector, facing significant changes and challenges that require a clear and united approach (see IRCC policies changes).
Strategic Planning Engagement Tour Overview
The tour marks the College’s second round of stakeholder engagement. The first round encompassed the College-wide Strategic Planning Engagement Survey, focus groups with industry partners and community organizations, and interviews with fellow Scarborough community organizations. The upcoming tour aims to collect valuable feedback on the College’s Strategic Themes for 2025-2030, and gather insights on potential strategic goals that align with them.
SPET Registration Opens September 3
Registration for the SPET sessions will open on Tuesday, September 3 and close at noon on Friday, September 13. The sessions have limited capacity, therefore you’re encouraged to register early to avoid disappointment.
SPET Dates and Details
SPET session dates are available September 16-20, 23-25, 27 and October 2-4. The 90-minute group discussions will take place across Centennial’s five campuses and include both in-person and virtual options.
Participating in a SPET session gives you the opportunity to engage in the strategic planning process and influence Centennial’s future. By sharing your perspective on the College’s direction and envisioning an enhanced campus experience, you ensure your voice is heard and the plan reflects the diverse needs of the College community. Your involvement also demonstrates a personal commitment to the institution's success.
We welcome your creative and thoughtful input!
