What a fantastic February! It’s been a busy winter so far, with a mixed bag of weather from heavy snow falls to rain and wind. Thanks to our Operational Services Department for responding to these weather events, and thank you to our residents for keeping vehicles off the street and providing space for our snow clearing equipment to perform their work. A great team effort all around.
February also began with a proclamation, proclaiming February 1 to 28 as Black History Month in Tay Township. Our local Library branches once again provided an excellent selection of educational reading materials and resources to help celebrate the month. I hope you all took the time to learn about the stories and many important contributions of local Black Canadians to the settlement, growth and development of Simcoe County.
