GlobalWebIndex: About one third of Internet users around the world say they follow their favourite brands on social media. The percentage varies from country to country, but this recent Chart of the Day shows that the  top 10 countries for brand followers have something in common: they are all emerging markets.

WalktheChat:  WeChat has become  the most popular social app in China, and every year, parent company Tencent publishes a major report on the behaviour of WeChat users... in Chinese. For those of us whose Chinese skills are lacking, here's a convenient English translation of the   WeChat Impact Report 2016 .

Ecommerce News Europe: How will Brexit affect the European ecommerce industry? Among the  predictions in this article: the Netherlands are well positioned to replace the U.K. as a preferred gateway to Europe for American companies.

App Annie: For app developers looking to enter the Asian market, Taiwan may be an good place to start, according to this article. With a strong gaming community for its size, and a world-class mobile infrastructure, Taiwan also has a track record of being foreign-app friendly. Those factors combined make it an easier market to crack than China.

TechCrunch:  Instagram recently hit a major milestone: 500 million monthly active users. That's double the number of users from two years ago. Of those users, 300 million are active on a daily basis. And it's all thanks to major growth in countries like Japan, Germany, France, and Indonesia. In fact, 80% of Instagram users now come from outside the U.S. Read more here.

This is just a small sample of the many current articles  on international business and global marketing topics that you'll find in  Verbaccino's Flipboard magazine . New articles are added throughout the week.
