Tarpon Springs Commissioner Seat #2 is up for election with a choice of two candidates, Frank DiDonato and Chris Hrabovsky. Exercise your right to vote. City, CRA Property Values Rise 9%


Property values in the City and CRA rose by 9.18% and 9.12% respectively according to the Pinellas County Property Appraiser. The values are a healthy increase to the City and show a strong economic climate. The new values will help set direction as the City undergoes its Fiscal Year 2025 budget process.

City Moves Forward on Potential Vacant Industrial Land Purchase

The Board of Commissioners at its June 18 meeting approved placing a referendum question to citizens regarding a $5 million purchase of a 14.3 acre vacant industrial site for the use as a permanent spoil site for dredge operations. The question will be placed on the November 5 election ballot.

Boutique Hotel Coming to Downtown

Work is beginning on the Livery Stable Hotel, located at the corner of E. Orange St. and N. Ring Ave. The building has a long history, and is being completely renovated into an eight-room "boutique" hotel. The new project is a welcome addition to the Downtown, providing opportunities for overnight guests within walking distance of Downtown, the Pinellas Trail, and the Sponge Docks.

Welcome New Business: Coastal Soul Boutique

An exciting new business has opened in the space recently vacated by Ella's Boutique. Welcome to the new Coastal Soul Boutique at 214 E. Tarpon Ave. Coastal Soul offers a variety of women's clothing including dresses, swimwear, tops, bottoms, and accessories. This is a second location for the owner who also operates a store in Downtown St. Petersburg.
