Urban Hen Survey | Pilot Program Check-In
Last summer, Town Council passed a temporary Bylaw to allow up to a maximum of 4 hens on a residential property in Blackfalds as a 2-year pilot program!
Now that the pilot program’s first year has come to a close, we want to hear your thoughts!
The results of this survey will be shared with Council, along with any proposed amendments stemming from this engagement process, if the program is made permanent.
This survey closes October 2.

Yard Waste Pick-Up
The seasonal yard waste pick-up program has begun!
Weekly collection of yard waste takes place on your designated waste/recycling collection day.
Container or paper bag must be marked with ‘YARD WASTE’ and must be visible to waste collection driver. Stickers are available at the Civic Centre front doors!

Garbage/Recycling Cart Placement |
The automated arms on the collection truck need to clasp and lift the carts. If there isn’t enough space for the equipment to operate correctly, your carts will not be emptied.
Leave at least 1 m (3 ft) around your carts so you can comfortably walk between and around them.

BOLT delivers an efficient and flexible transit rideshare service model that features one 7-passenger van with one wheelchair-accessible seat and lift.
Buses can be requested up to two weeks in advance, or within minutes.

The Wadey Centre has closed its doors for the year and will not open until spring 2025.
Thank you to all the visitor that came by to visit and give their support to the Blackfalds Historic Society, we are excited to see you again next year!

Bring your rackets and your balls to our two outdoor tennis courts with spectator seating.
Mon - Fri | 8am - dusk

Courts will be open until the snow arrives!

Who is BHPARC?
Committee members meet as needed and participate in a variety of activities that align with their interests, skills and abilities and include promoting health provider opportunities in Blackfalds, hosting community tours, building relationships with community health providers, organizing appreciation activities, and providing support to their families.

Many hands make light work and robust and diverse community representation on this Committee is welcome! In particular, residents who are seniors, well-connected to the local business community, newcomers to town, or who have a young family are invited to email for more information.

Blackfalds has a Health Professional Attraction & Retention Committee. This group of community members works with individuals from Town Council and Administration and health service agencies to attract & retain health professionals in Blackfalds.

The Abbey Centre's interactive Love Heart art installation is almost ready!
This permanent steel heart will provide an opportunity for visitors to lock on a heart in honour of a person, a pet, or a memory!
