Hello friends!
We hope that warm air and colorful flowers are abundant in your part of the world, and business is fulfilling for you and those with whom you work.
We're looking forward to seeing many of our friends and colleagues next week at the 6th annual HRLF HR Leadership Awards. Held in Boston, the awards event on May 1 is a great gathering of experienced and inspiring HR Leaders along with rising HR stars. We love the reunion it brings and hope you'll join us next week.
This month we caught up with leadership consultant Chris Severson who shared insights, guidance, and practical lessons for HR Leaders - especially around headcount reductions, growth, and re-building successful teams. Chris' experience includes leadership roles with Fortune 50 companies and scrappy start-ups, and he provided many great takeaways for HR leaders.
Happy Spring!

A Final Word: Authenticity | |
As Chris Severson touched on in his C-Suite conversation, people change is difficult and time consuming. Whether you are undergoing cost reduction or adding headcount, working with authenticity is paramount. "Authentic leadership - being clear, concise, and consistent in the communication, generally sooner than later, no spin - and just be honest and transparent, say what you can, when you can - I often find, is almost always the best answer."
