Partnering for safe and healthy communities.

Taking Pride in Our Community

June was a month of celebration, marked by Pride, Juneteenth, and several other noteworthy holidays. Cornerstones of Care proudly participated in numerous local events across Kansas City, demonstrating our unwavering dedication to the community. We recognize that our mission cannot be fulfilled in isolation; it thrives through community collaborations, partnerships, and referrals that ensure holistic, trauma-informed care. As we move into July, we carry this intention forward, committed to nurturing these connections and fostering an inclusive, supportive environment for all.

ACROSS THE ORGANIZATION

Organizational Leaders Honored

The Kansas City Business Journal recently honored President and CEO Merideth Rose as one of the area’s 25 “Women Who Mean Business” and CFO Jill Beck as one of 12 "CFO of the Year" honorees.

The Women Who Mean Business honor celebrates top female leaders who have made significant contributions to their industries and communities. "I am deeply honored to be recognized among such an inspiring group of women," said Merideth. "This award means our work, individually and collectively, matters. As one Cornerstones of Care team with one mission, we exist to turn what some may call broken into miraculous breakthroughs of healing and hope.”

Jill was recognized as one of the top financial leaders in the metropolitan area who demonstrated the ability to “move the needle” for their organization and their involvement in the community.

Bright Lights is Back

Back for its second year, Bright Lights, Waldo Nights returns to Kansas City’s vibrant Waldo neighborhood on Friday, August 9, with a blast of neon, big hair, and rockin' tunes. This year, attendees will be treated to live music from '80s tribute band Retroactive. Guests will also enjoy exclusive access to an open bar and delicious late-night snacks.

Cornerstones of Care is currently seeking passionate and dedicated Party Hosts to help fundraise for Bright Lights, Waldo Nights. In the days leading up to event, Party Hosts leverage their personal connections to raise money and support and build excitement for this one-of-a-kind event. Help us light up the night for children and families healing from trauma and become a Party Host today!
