About Our Productions Theatre Co. Flower Mound-Lewisville-Dallas

Small shows with BIG impact.
Be moved. Be inspired. Be excited.
Yours. Mine. OURS. Together we can make magic.
Our Productions Theatre Co.

Our Productions Theatre Co. is a professional theatre company, under the umbrella of non-profit, IRS recognized 501 (c) 3 charitable organization, Expressions Performing Arts, whose mission is to develop cultural growth in North Texas. It was the first Denton County company to use Actors' Equity Association union performers and stage managers, and proudly continues that tradition to date.

Originally founded in Denton County in 1993, Our Productions Theatre Co. brings live, professional productions and performers to Denton & Dallas counties to perform for area residents including new works, little known shows and re-imaginings of hit productions with BIG heart. A focus on new play development was added in 2017 with the development and addition of the Play Readers Club, which has now helped mount full scale productions of several new works. Our new Adult Musical Theatre Workshop and Play Writers Workshop helps to round out a robust series of opportunities for our community.

About The Young Artist Training Program (YATP), Educational Outreach of Our Productions

Talented youth and young professionals, working together to reach their performance goals. YATP is our world class musical theatre training & mentoring program. Established in 1993 in Flower Mound, YATP is now in it's 29th year. YATP has trained students with careers on both stage and screen, that span across the United States and Europe, from London to Los Angeles, New York to Chicago, and right here at home in Big D. YATP students make a big impact wherever they go.

The small, conservatory style program trains approximately one to two dozen naturally gifted and well suited students from all across the D-FW area that gain admittance by auditions held each year to ear a spot as a Youth Conservatory Company Member. Most students study with the program for more than five years, or until graduation, when they move on to both professional careers and/or outstanding university programs from L.A. to N.Y.C. including UCLA, Studio School, The Juilliard School, CCM, NYU Tisch, and many more outstanding programs. Many of our alumni are working professionals today, and credit YATP with giving them the strong foundations for their start. We are also proud of our vigorous financial assistance program, established in 2001, that ensures that talented, admitted students receive training regardless of their ability to pay full tuition.

Alumni students have appeared in, or worked on, Broadway and Off-Broadway productions, many National and International Touring productions, as well as having appeared locally at the Tony Award Winning Dallas Theater Center, Casa Manana, and other local professional theatre productions including here at Our Productions. Students are also appearing in & working on national television series, Disney Co. projects, and in both commercials and feature films locally, nationally and internationally. Alumni work also includes careers from opera singers, professional dancers, comedians, writers, cabaret artists, casting directors, designers, T.V. production team members, producing and in other areas of the performing arts both onstage and off. #YATPstrong

Those alumni students who pursue other careers become lifetime arts patrons and grow to serve in important positions on Boards and Arts Charities, taking the skills learned in the theatre into their adult lives.
