Cleburne is Recruiting Firefighters

Now Enrolling for the Citizens Police Academy


Enrollment is open for citizens who want to learn the ins and outs of the Cleburne Police Department. The department's next Citizens Police Academy (CPA) will be held every Thursday from March 21 through May 23 from 6 to 9 p.m.


There will be classes about traffic-related laws, DWI stops, crime scene investigations, SWAT and more. View the requirements and sign up here.

Spring Break Fun in Cleburne

Looking for exciting ways to spend your Spring Break? The City of Cleburne has you covered! Dive into a week filled with activities for all ages starting on March 11.


Our Parks and Recreation Department and the Cleburne Public Library will be hosting events ranging from cardboard building, movie nights, storytelling, crafts, fitness activities and more. View the list of offerings here.

Take a Homeless Dog on a Walk


Join the Cleburne Animal Shelter team as they help give the sweet shelter dogs some time outside, provide positive experiences with people, and hopefully find the dogs their forever home.


The walk for homeless dogs will be on Saturday, March 9 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Cleburne State Park. Donations for the shelter will be accepted in lieu of park entrance fees. See more event details here.

Enjoy Coffee with Cops on March 5

This is your chance to connect with our dedicated police officers in a relaxed setting over a cup of coffee. Mark your calendars for Coffee with Cops on Tuesday, March 5 from 7 to 9 a.m. at the McDonald’s on 1435 W. Henderson St.


Whether you have questions or simply want to say hello, they’ll be there to listen and engage with our community members. Don't miss this opportunity to meet the faces behind the badge and enjoy some coffee. 

Bring the Family for a Solar Eclipse Lesson


There will be a total solar eclipse on Monday, April 8. Before the amazing phenomenon occurs, the Cleburne Public Library will host a Solar Eclipse Talk on Thursday, March 7 at 6 p.m.


With the help of astronomer Larry Smith, attendees will learn the science behind solar eclipses, their significance in astronomy and how to safely observe them. It'll be a time to expand your astronomical knowledge.
