City Offices Closed for Juneteenth Holiday

Juneteenth commemorates the day slaves in Texas found out they were free—more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed. It was first recognized as a federal holiday in 2021.

Please note that City administrative offices and buildings will be closed Wednesday, June 19 in observance of Juneteenth. Sanitation routes and emergency services will remain in operation.

Take a look at the schedule for parks and recreation facilities and the library here.
