Enrollment Open for Citizens Police Academy

The Cleburne Police Department's Citizens Police Academy (CPA) is an educational program designed to give our citizens a better understanding about law enforcement and how police officers work with the community.

The classes provide a way to educate and develop positive relations with our citizens. There is no cost to attend. The training program is a series of 10 classes, held one day per week for three hours. To graduate, each participant is required to attend at least eight of the 10 classes.

After graduating from CPA, citizens who wish to volunteer their time and skills to the police department may join the Citizens on Patrol (C.O.P.) Program.

Prepare for all scenarios. Know how you’ll contact one another and reconnect if separated. Establish a family meeting place that’s familiar and easy to find. If you don’t know where to start, ready.gov has resources in place to get you on the right track. Learn more here.
