It's Back and Better Than Ever!

The Booker T. Washington Recreation Center underwent flooring and painting renovations to better serve the community. Now, the public will get a chance to see the facility's new look through a free reopening event on Monday, Oct. 10!

As a token of appreciation for the community’s patience as these changes were being made, admission will be FREE all day on Oct. 10, and there will be special activities from 4 to 7 p.m. Come on out to 100 Mansfield Road in Cleburne to see the upgrades and other things the facility has to offer.

City Receives Award for Zoning Project

The planning division of the City's Community Development Department earned a statewide award for the work done to update the Cleburne Zoning Ordinance.

The zoning update was adopted by City Council in April 2022 in an effort to modernize and simplify the ordinance and update regulations. The City received a public outreach award for the measures taken to include the community in the process. Read details here.
