The giftings of the fivefold ministry (Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor, Teacher) should have one purpose, and that is the teaching and equipping of the saints until we come into unity.

SEEK A CITY TO COME

Hebrews 13:14 says, “For here [in this world] have we no continuing [abiding] city, but we seek one to come.”
Young’s Literal Translation [YLT98] says it this way: “For we have not here an abiding city, but the coming one we seek.”
This tells us that wherever we live now [ abide, dwell, continue] is only temporary in this world. Our goal is the eternal city where we will live [dwell, abide] with God forever. Therefore, we should not get too attached to what we have now, or hope to have, in this earthly life. We may indeed enjoy or take some pleasure in our present dwelling. We must keep it in our heart and mind that God has a much better place reserved for us, and that should be what we seek.
That place is described in detail in chapters 21 and 22 of the book of Revelation. Read those two chapters several times. Read them now! It is our continuing city where we will abide forevermore.
What a glorious “blessed hope” we have! Rejoice!

FAITH AND PATIENCE

Have you prayed and then waited and waited for something, but it still has not materialized? I have. I have waited for my needs being met, for direction, and other things that took a while to be accomplished. In the book of Hebrews 6:10-12 it says: “For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end: That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.” V. 15 says, “And so, after he (speaking of Abraham) had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.”
In the U.S. we have access to things so easily. We have instant food in the microwave. We have places we order from that deliver to our door. We have more food and clothing than any other nation. We like it. We enjoy the “luxuries” that most other countries do not have. When we do not see things happen quickly, we tend to lose patience. Since patience is a virtue, we must not lose it.
We do not like to wait. Yet, in the times of waiting is when God prunes us and causes us to grow in our faith. God is not a sugar daddy ATM machine that we pop a card in, and the money and needs come out. We receive everything by faith. Patience is developed through the trying of our faith. We are told in James 1:4 “But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.” Think of it, developing patience brings complete maturity, and through patience we will lack nothing! How awesome is that? It has been said that Faith and Patience are the power twins. You cannot have one without the other for us to be complete.
A story about patience and faith. I love to grow things, especially avocadoes. I have planted hundreds of avocado pits in water, and they grow into small trees. I have given more away than I have planted. One day a friend brought me a huge avocado and told me it was from one of the trees that I started. It was the first fruit from the tree. I was so excited to hold it in my hand. I felt very connected. Even though I had started so many seedlings myself, I had never experienced any of mine that were planted in my yard to bear fruit. My husband told me they might not bear for a long time because they might need to be paired with another male or female avocado tree.
Several years ago, I planted one of the avocado plants I had started from seed. It grew quite well for a few years but had no blossoms or fruit. When a hurricane tore up Florida and our city, this little avocado tree was uprooted and laid on the ground. My husband replanted it and tied it off so it would not fall over. I prayed over that tree, calling it to be fruitful. The tree grew tall for a few more years but still had no fruit, but I kept believing it would be fruitful. And guess what, after patiently waiting, blossoms came and eventually brought forth fruit. I did not give up on that little tree. I had to have faith AND patience.
What is God teaching you through patience and faith? I am sure, like myself, that you have your days of being tested, but do not quit believing. He will surely bring to fruition the promises he has made!

PROPHETIC WORD
AS GIVEN TO HELEN SANDERS
Just as the tender sprouts long for the spring rain and are nourished when it comes, so you, too, have been longing for the refreshing that only I can bring. The season has been very dry for you my child, but I have allowed it to draw you closer to me, for in my presence is the spring rain, the summer growth, and the fall harvest. Every season is important for you, which has brought you to where you are today.
For there is a moment in time when I would say come and sit at my feet. As you do that you will feel the fresh spring rain fall upon your dry and weary soul. It is the place where the fallow ground is broken up and you receive the water of life. It is the place where we meet face to face, and you feel my presence. My child, you must surely know that the season of dryness, or winter has passed for you and things will start to break forth in many ways for you. You will see the old gone and the fresh new start of something better than was.
For you have endured when others did not do so. You have pressed through the hard ground when others did not do so. You have been found faithful, and I reward faithfulness. So, let the spring rain fall upon you and enjoy it. You will see that it has been worth the trials that you have gone through to bring you to this place. You will see things grow through the spring and summer, and there is a harvest for you that you have never dreamed of. For, I, the Lord am bringing the spring rain. Believe it, receive it, and conceive it saith the Lord.

I know we CANNOT control the WINDS of LIFE; But we CAN surely ADJUST our SAILS…OR better known to some as…OURSELVES. So give it a try as it will do wonders for all concerned IF; We’d only learn to ADJUST our SAILS or…ADJUST our ATTITUDE. Now is everyone ready to have a blessed and beautiful day? Well, it would help if we’d allow God to give us a thorough checkup to see IF we just might need an old fashion…ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENT.

Monday Word Of The Lord
I come in power and might. I will not be mocked. They are defeated. Never forget, the final outcome is Mine. I will be victorious. Will you follow Me in the midst of the storm? Will you stand when it seems like sure defeat? Did I not go with the Israelites and do what I said? So open your heart to Me and I will strengthen you to not flounder in fear but I plant the Word Of God in you now. So take up your positions and do not think that all is lost. For I say when it is finished. Look up and see the battle still going, but My hand continues to stay, those who will persevere with Me!

A life of love, wouldn’t that be nice?
That would be my prayer to all.
Jesus would smile, for that’s what he is,
Jesus loves all. If there wasn’t sin,
The World would be so changed,
To what we see today. We’ll get our wish,
For all to love, on those golden streets,
In Heaven someday. Gentle caring, gently helping,
Peace for all. Wouldn’t that be swell?
Smiles all around and Jesus is there,
In this magnificent heaven.
Just love, so much love there.
So, while we are here, living our life,
Let’s do the best we can. Holding the hand of Jesus,
Loving one another, practicing for Heaven,
Our Promise Land!
