TTC Service Improvements

Investments in New Frontline Staff is Improving Customer Satisfaction and Safety

Newly released data shows significant improvements in TTC customer satisfaction, particularly in safety, following investments in new customer-facing personnel. Last September, the TTC announced it would vastly enhance the visible presence of staff throughout the system, by hiring 130 customer service agents and 30 supervisors at key subway stations, and on the bus and streetcar networks. For more information about these findings, please view our website.

Waterfront East Light Rail Transit:

Transit Assessment Process Underway

Map of the project area for the WELRT from Bay St to Parliament St

The City of Toronto, Waterfront Toronto, and the TTC are proposing an expansion of streetcar service to the eastern waterfront, referred to as the Waterfront East LRT (project). Environmental approvals for the project are being sought through the Transit and Rail Project Assessment Process (formally TPAP now TRAP process).

Public participation is an important part of the consultation process. We welcome your feedback and thank everyone for their input to date, which has helped to shape this work. A draft Environmental Project Report is posted on the project website for public review and input.

As part of the province’s new Ontario Line, Metrolinx is building a new underground station that will connect to Line 2 Bloor-Danforth at Pape Station.

TTC service – March 31 to May 11, 2024*

The first phase of service changes is scheduled to be in effect from March 31 to May 11, 2024* while Pape Station’s bus terminal is partially closed for demolition work on the east side bus bay canopy to prepare for construction. The partial closure of the eastern bus bay will require some bus routes to serve customers on Pape Avenue in front of the main entrance or from new temporary bays on Lipton Avenue. Metrolinx will construct these bus bays between March 25 and 31*.

TTC staff will be on-site to help customers find their new bus boarding locations during these changes to TTC service.
