TSC PHOTO SHOW
JULY 6th

TSC for the Arts is looking for photographers and artists who would like to share framed photographs they have taken in the next exhibition which will run from July 6 - August 17 in the dining exhibition space. Subject matter can be diverse: nature, cityscapes, portraits, abstracts, pets etc. We are looking for photos to showcase that have intentional meaning to you as an artist beyond the everyday snapshots.
Please email heathhilary.mcrae@talgov.com with a photo of the artwork and its dimension prior to July 1st to be submitted or with any questions.
ART WORKSHOPS

July 18 (1 Day Workshop)
Monday, 1pm – 4pm
Weave your way into the summer season with this fiber arts class where you will take a branch and weave colors that reflect the season into a piece of art.

July 19 – September 6 (6 weeks)
(No class July 26, August 2)
Tuesdays, 1 – 3:30 pm
Create images on paper with a variety of media and visual art processes – a creative time for experimenting with mixed media projects for beginners and continuing students. Use your sketchbook to develop ideas and images with drawing, painting, collage and simple printmaking techniques. Drawing and painting guidance available.

July 25 – August 8 (3 weeks)
Monday, 1pm – 4pm
Imagine a summer getaway maybe with mountains, cooling river or a shady orchard. Create your abstract woven landscape on your own portable handmade loom.
Materials- picture of a landscape, yarn, string, a fork, tapestry needle that has a eye that is large enough for the yarn to pass through and a picture frame. All Skill Levels Welcome.

July 26 – August 30 (6 weeks)
Tuesdays, 9:30am – 12 noon
In this beginner’s class you will learn the three ancient skills that will allow you to build ANYTHING with clay from bowls to butterflies to birdhouses. It will be fun!

On-going studio classes meet on a weekly basis and do not require pre-registration; Pay the days you attend.  $10 per class Seniors (age 50+), $12 Others (age 18-49). Or buy an art card that gives you eight classes for the price of seven. Before joining, visit the class, chat with the instructor, and receive a supply list. Workshops do require pre-registration and pre-payment. All classes are located at the Senior Center Art Studio unless otherwise noted (under neighborhood locations).

Artists, TSC for the Arts needs your talent for our greeting card fundraising gallery. Paintings are 5"x7". There will be paper cut to size on the bulletin board in the art studio.

Help yourself, paint away and drop off your small art at TSC, care of the Art Program Coordinator, Heath Hilary McRae.

Pastel Landscapes Instructor, Wendy Devarieux will be showing at the St. Augustine Arts Association from June 3 - June 22, 2022 in there Annual Honors Show.
Gadsden Arts Artist Guild at Tallahassee Community College, May 26 - June 30 at the Fine Art Gallery. Museum hours 12.30 to 4.30 weekdays.
