National School Bus Safety Week
There are many safety benefits of a school bus as minimum safety standards of school transportation vehicles far exceed those of passenger vehicles.* In recognition of School Bus Safety Week (October 21-25) TRAFFIX reminds both school bus riders and the community-at-large to follow school bus safety tips in order to keep everyone as safe as possible.

Bus Driver BRAVOS!
Being a school bus driver is a challenging yet truly important job. Bus drivers navigate the roadways transporting the most precious of cargo, our children.

Think your bus driver is doing a great job? You can acknowledge them for a job well done by submitting a Bus Driver Bravo on the TRAFFIX Website .
UNITY DAY
On Unity Day (Wednesday, October 23rd), TRAFFIX school bus drivers will wear orange shirts in support of bullying prevention, sending the message that we want our buses to be a place where all students are safe from bullying. Together we are united for kindness, acceptance and inclusion!
Meet The First Student Team!
As a TRAFFIX customer, you may have a need to contact our bus service provider, First Student, whether it's to request a play date or report a lost item. Chances are, you'll interact with one of these fine folks:

Henry Cooper, First Student Location Manager: Managing every aspect of school bus operations is a tough job. Fortunately, Henry is on board as General Manager of First Student's Concord facility, where the TRAFFIX bus fleet is housed and managed. Henry has over thirty years of logistical experience. Before working in transportation, Henry was a senior project manager in financial services, working for PMI Mortgage Insurance Co. and Fannie Mae. Prior to joining First Student, Henry was the Transportation Director for Michael’s Transportation. He also worked for Vallejo City Unified School District and MV Transportation.

Pamela Lee, First Student Operations Supervisor: Pamela began her transportation journey with Complete Coach Works as an administrator, proceeded to East Bay Para Transit and now works with First Student as their Operations Supervisor. She says that transportation is in her blood. Her passion is safety and efficiency. She strives for each and every child to be able to look back on their childhood and know one of their greatest memories was a First Student bus ride.

Rosalva Navarro, First Student Dispatcher: Have you ever wondered who organizes TRAFFIX drivers and buses for our bus service provider, First Student? It's dispatcher Rosalva Navarro. Rosalva started as a driver in 2003, transporting students with special needs. She brings 15 years of dispatcher experience to her current position with First Student and truly enjoys her interaction with the TRAFFIX bus drivers.
