A Work of Heart

May 6 - 10th is National Teacher Appreciation Week. Our educators pour so much heart into their profession each and every day. Thank you for another successful school year. You all are truly amazing!

A Little "Thank You" Can Go a Long Way

We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to our families and community for your incredible support during Teacher Appreciation Week. Your participation and dedication have truly made this week memorable and meaningful for our educators.

Teachers play a vital role in shaping the minds and futures of our children, and your recognition of their hard work and dedication means the world to us. Your support not only uplifts our educators but also strengthens the bond between school and home, creating a nurturing environment for our students to thrive.

Your thoughtful gestures, kind words, and generous contributions remind us that we are a part of an incredible community.

We are truly grateful for your continued partnership and support.

Teachers of Tucker Elementary celebrate by sharing all of the ways to influence the world of education in a postive way.

CHILD NUTRITION

TPSS Child Nutrition Survey 2024

We would love to hear thoughts and feedback from our students on how we can better serve you all during school lunch and breakfast!

Students in grades 5th - 12th are invited to complete our survey by logging in with their Tangischools Google account by May 16th. We look forward to reading your feedback.

Take the Survey

Get the App to Get the Menu

Our breakfast and lunch menus are available ahead of time on our website. Having the Tangischools app on your mobile device makes it even easier to access!

School breakfast and lunch is FREE this year to all students, so if your child normally packs a lunch to school, consider giving our meals a try. You may find that your child soon picks out a favorite. They can plan ahead to eat in the cafeteria on their chosen days.

School Lunch Hero Day

Schools across our district recently celebrated School Lunch Hero Day!

We are grateful for the fabulous Child Nutrition Team that we have, who work so hard to ensure that our students are served nutritional meals each day.

We thank you for all that you do!

LITERACY

Dolly Parton's Imagination Library

We need your help to fund the Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library in Southeast Louisiana.

The Imagination Library is dedicated to inspiring a love of reading by gifting books each month to children from birth to age five, free of charge, through funding shared by local community partners in Tangipahoa parish.

Through United Way, we are able to give back to create a better, stronger community with opportunity for all.

TESTING SEASON

Spring Forward

Ready for the Test.

Ready for Life.

It’s time for your child to take the LEAP 2025 tests in math, social studies, science, and English language arts. To see what’s expected of your child, check out the grade-by-grade practice test and how it measures real-world skills, like problem-solving and critical thinking.

Here you’ll find tools to help you support your child in preparing for the tests such as practice tests, and guidance to the test and score reports.

What's your child expected to know and do on the state tests?

Parent Guide to LEAP Practice Tests

Practice tests allow students to become familiar with the testing format and respond to some of the types of questions they may find on the LEAP 2025 or LEAP Connect tests. Practice tests allow parents to better understand how the tests compare to classroom work and see the types of questions students will be responding to on the tests.
