SOCIAL EMOTIONAL WELL-BEING | |
Culture Climate Survey
Tangipahoa Parish School System has partnered with Panorama for our faculty and students to complete a survey in efforts to understand their experiences and perceptions.
This survey will be used to improve the culture and climate in our schools. Your participation is completely confidential, which means that no one at your school will ever see your individual responses. The results of this survey will help administrators better understand your perceptions of your school. Survey data will be used by your administrators to identify strengths and areas for growth. You may use a computer, tablet, or smartphone to access the survey.
TAKE THE SURVEY
You can find a complete list of the survey questions and topics in our Family Toolkit under Social and Emotional Learning & Well Being.
Please notify your child's principal directly if you wish to opt out of the survey

Changes for TPSS Chromebooks
TPSS has begun to implement changes for student Chromebooks in grades K-8. We are in the process of transitioning to our new procedures of housing Chromebooks in classrooms, rather than requiring students to carry devices between school and home. This change will reduce the amount of device repairs and replacements and will increase the sustainability of the devices for future use.
Chromebooks will be stored in classroom carts and managed by teachers, so they are always charged and readily available to students for classroom assignments and assessments. Students in grades 5-8 will have access to Chromebooks with bigger screens, which will increase the visibility of work assignments, programs, and other resources. Students who are participating in after-school intervention programs or have other specific needs will have the option of taking a device home if needed.
These changes in device management do not affect our high schools. High School students will continue to carry devices between school and home until further notice.

Warm & Cozy for Winter
With cold weather comes the need to dress warmly.
Before bundling up for school, make sure all coats, sweaters, sweatshirts, jackets, and pullovers are labled with your child's name. The Lost & Found becomes a popular place during the winter season. If the items of clothing are labeled, it makes it much easier to return them.
Also, give those coats and jackets a wash. With all things, our clothes need occassional sanitizing too!
